As 2024 comes to a close, I want to express my gratitude for the partnerships and friendships that make Dysart thrive. I am proud to be part of such a vibrant and caring community, and look forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead. We have some big changes planned for the new year! Here’s to continuing this journey together in 2025 and beyond.
Celebrating Our Community
Community is the cornerstone of a thriving society. It’s about more than just where we live; it’s about the relationships we build and the support we give one another. Whether through local events or volunteer efforts, I have seen how our connections empower us to achieve more together.
Some memorable highlights from 2024 include celebrating 52224 Day (ZIP Code Day). On May 24, 2024, our community came together to celebrate a once in a lifetime event. Our annual Classic Car, Truck & Bike Show drew record breaking crowds and the most entries to date. We partnered with the Dysart Police Department to host the first National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that’s designed to encourage connections and friendships between neighbors and community resources. The Holiday Bazaar was packed with both vendors and customers and a reimagined Christmas on Main left lasting memories for families.
Looking Toward the Future
With 2025 on the horizon, my excitement grows for what lies ahead. There are numerous opportunities for growth, innovation, and collaboration waiting for us. I'm excited to announce a fresh start for the Dysart Development Corporation! We are restructuring and rebranding while still being dedicated to revitalizing our local business landscape and fostering a stronger community spirit.
This revitalization includes a renewed commitment to:
Supporting Local Businesses: We will implement new initiatives designed to help existing businesses grow and attract new ventures to our area.
Community Engagement: We will continue to host exciting events to bring residents and businesses together.
Strategic Development: We will work to enhance the economic vibrancy of our area, including beautification initiatives and attracting investment.
Transparency and Collaboration: We are committed to open communication and working closely with all stakeholders - residents, business owners, community leaders, schools and local government - to ensure that our efforts are aligned with the needs and desires of our community.
This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us and our community.We are confident that with your support and participation, we can create a brighter and more prosperous future for Dysart.
